Undergraduate Vice Provost/President Community

The Undergraduate Vice Provost/President (UVP) Community is a space for leaders who have all-university (or all-college) administrative responsibilities for undergraduate education. The community, which grew from the Reinvention Center’s UVP Network started in 2004, hosts bi-weekly “Hot Topics” drop in calls for UVPs to discuss urgent issues with their peers, monthly virtual Town Halls, and hundreds of online forum discussions on matters of policy and practice in undergraduate education.

Advising Administration Community of Practice

The Advising Administration Community of Practice (AACoP) fulfills an unmet need for community, data-sharing, and scholarship around advising administration. AACoP convenes more than 300 advising leaders from across the country for monthly virtual discussions as well as opportunities for collaborative research. AACoP’s expert network also provides consultants, facilitators, and speakers with expertise in student success, advising redesign, and change management in the research university context.

Curricular Analytics Project Community

The CAP community convenes leaders who are actively engaging in research around the impact of curricular complexity on equitable student outcomes. Using the open-source Curricular Analytics tool to study their institution’s curricular structures, participants engage faculty, advisors, and others in student-centered review of required curricula. Findings to date suggest that reducing unnecessary curricular complexity will reduce time-to-degree and boost graduation rates.

Exploring the Future of College Admissions Community

UERU is a partner in a national research-practice partnership, led by scholars at the Urban Institute, to explore new approaches to college admissions following the Supreme Court ruling on the use of race in admissions. The collaborative seeks to understand who is applying to, admitted by, and enrolling at universities; learn about changes universities are making to their admissions policies and practices; and evaluate the potential impact of these changes on the demographic profile of future classes.
