UERU + Strada Town Hall: Work-Based Learning
Thursday, February 19, 2026| 2:00pm ET | Zoom Meeting
Today’s college students are leveraging work-based learning opportunities more than ever before to prepare themselves for careers post-graduation. These experiences, which include paid and unpaid internships, practica, undergraduate research, apprenticeships, co-ops, project-based learning, and on- and off-campus work, are all highly impactful for students. But what is the career value of each of these experiences, and how can colleges scale them to ensure access to all learners?
Join us for a special presentation from researchers and subject-matter experts at Strada, who have conducted nationally representative surveys of more than 40,000 seniors at 4-year public colleges and universities. Nichole Torpey-Saboe and Kevin Grubb will share key findings from their research and work with states and institutions and will facilitate discussion with UERU members about how to design and deliver work-based learning experiences that support students’ professional networking and skill development.
